I just wanted to say how much I appreciate everything your team does in putting the camp together. It is easily the best experience for players that I have seen. Everything runs smoothly and always seems like everything revolves around creating a positive experience for the kids
Before camp I couldn’t do a backflip, and I still can’t do a backflip. But the opportunity to learn, work, play, and compete at Stanford for the week was a privilege. Not only was the work valuable to me and the future of my training, but the conversations, motivation, comedy, and speeches from you, Coach Esquer, and the rest of your staff was priceless.
As the parent of a camper, I just wanted to thank you for the great experience my son Julian and I had the past few days. The camp is so outstanding and well-run. Even though college recruitment is obviously an aspect of the camp, the focus really stays on learning from great coaches and improving your game. After having been to a few other showcases this summer, which he found stressful, Julian found this to be a night-and-day experience, in the most positive sense. He was challenged, he worked hard, and he loved it. In large part due to that, it also ended up being special father-son time that I won’t soon forget.
Hey Coach, Just wanted to reach out and say thank you for the opportunity to learn and grow during the camp this summer. It was one of the coolest baseball experiences I’ve had so far. I received my evaluation and real play videos and plan to use them to further train and improve my skill. I personally really enjoyed the talks from yourself and coach Esquer. Very focused on the mental approach and how failure is a big part of the game (and life, why we love the sport).
I want to take a moment to thank you, Coach Esquer, and the entire Stanford baseball program. Observing the experience your camp provided for the young ballplayers this summer exceeded my expectations by several orders of magnitude. Thank you for hosting the camp, and for following through on your aim of providing that special experience for everyone fortunate enough to take part – you nailed it! Well done!
Thank you for getting the boys into your camp this year, to be honest, it was the best I have seen in my 27 years in this beautiful game. We’ll be back next summer, and hopefully with a few more Floridians.
It’s at the baseball field where youth like my son Aidan learn to truly believe in themselves, to shoot for the stars, and to band together with their teammates to achieve shared goals. It’s where many of them learn to dream – & some dream very, very big dreams. It’s also where they often fall down, skin their knees, and forge a special type of resilience; and where they finally understand what their parents/caregivers mean when they exhort them to demonstrate grit in the face of real adversity. Above all else, what I especially appreciate about your camp is that it bubbled to the surface a tremendous hunger for improvement, a desire to make greater and greater investment in preparation / off-the-field work, and a commitment to excellence on and off the field. Thank you again!
Our whole family loved the experience last summer. Obviously, Sam enjoyed it the most. I was so impressed with every aspect and Sam took away so many important learnings. Thank you. Unfortunately we don’t think we can make it back this year. Sam became very motivated at the Stanford Camp last summer and made an elite program here in Toronto, the Toronto Mets. He’s really enjoying it and the summer schedule is very aggressive and so he won’t be able to come to Stanford. The spark for his motivation was lit at your camp and we really appreciate it. Once again I cannot say enough about the camp and I hope we can see you again.
I thank you and the entire staff for all your hard work to make the camp run smoothly. The instructions and advice I received throughout was phenomenal. I can’t WAIT for next year.
It was great seeing you again this year and to be back at this camp. I have been following the Stanford Instagram for a little bit now and regularly checked it during the season. This past school season, my team played the most games in our program’s history at 30 and my body felt great, however my mind needed some work at certain points. Especially before rivalry games I was nervous & amped up, so I checked some of your posts that I had saved about how to handle pressure and they helped me a lot. One of the things that has stuck with me was the idea of playing for my teammates and owing that to them. This past school season was the first time I got to play with one of my best friends and mentors, a senior who had been riddled with injuries his whole high school career. Nevertheless, he has been one the best teammates I’ve ever had and that energy was contagious for the team. It was one the biggest reasons why my team was able to have a lot of success.
I wanted to reach out and thank you for the camps you run for our young men. Last summer, my son, Marshall, was ready to quit baseball. But after camp, and help from Joe to fix his swing, he built up the confidence to keep working. Last Saturday, his High School won the state championship (WIAA 3A Baseball). My son hit 2nd best on his team in the playoffs and got first team in Seattle Metros for outfielder. The whole team won the game, but he was proud to be a contributor in a number of tight situations (offense and defense). No Seattle public school has ever won a WA state championship. Ever. So, I wanted to share the impact you had on our son and to thank you again. This was a dream come true for everyone. Also, Marshall got an academic scholarship to go to Chapman University and has a spot on the team. His baseball took off later than other kids because he played multiple sports throughout high school (even made first team for offense and defense in football this year). Although he is thrilled to play anywhere, he wishes he had one more year to get that much better.
Honestly, this camp was so good I am planning to join the camp again next year. Some of the other players I met, I hope to keep in touch with as we continue our respective journeys towards school and baseball. I know I have a lot to improve upon (gain 20lbs) – and I am determined and motivated more than ever to come back and show you guys at the camp how much of an impact you have had on me.
Thank you Dean for a great camp experience. My son had a fantastic 3 days and will definitely return next year. He loved his coach and the other players at the camp. I appreciate your attention to detail and for being so organized. See you next year.
I just wanted to say thank you for providing myself and all the other players with such an amazing time at the camp. The effort put in to make everything run smoothly must have been immense, but it went perfectly. Also the fact that we all got the opportunity to play on Stanford’s field was one of the coolest experiences of my life. Thank you for making sure we had proper group and individual work during practice time as I feel I gained a great amount of knowledge. Everybody involved with the camp was super nice, especially the other college coaches assigned to lead each team. It was awesome to see all of the different video perspectives captured during the four days. All in all, the camp was beautifully run and all of the coaches were amazing to be around. Hope to be back next year.
I wanted to thank you for the Stanford camp! I had a great time at the camp, it was one of the smoothest run camps I’ve been to and I’ve received a lot of follow up from coaches since. I had a great experience and many great opportunities in front of schools, thank you!
First of all a huge thanks back to you for providing your exceptionally well managed and designed camp. My son, Wyatt, returned with some enhanced skills and some adjusted techniques. However, more than anything, he came back absolutely and 100% thrilled, and enthusiastic, and inspired, and excited about the game of baseball. Wow. What a gift you and your team have given him. Again, THANK YOU.
I feel lucky, why? I had the fantastic opportunity to attend the Stanford Baseball Camp. Three years ago, my oldest brother was signed up to participate in this camp. Unfortunately, the camp was cancelled due to COVID, so he could not go. For me, it has truly been such a wonderful experience not only being able to play at Sunken Diamond Field and to be instructed by amazing coaches, but also being able to use all the resources such as batting cages and other fields. Also, I really enjoyed your speech on the first day. In particular, your example of responding to questions with more creativity and ”the hook” made me realize how careful and thoughtful I need to be in the future. In the end, I am grateful for the opportunity and I am looking forward to hopefully participating at a future Stanford Baseball Camp.

My son had such a great time at your camp. No other camp like yours. It was an amazing experience for him!
I am the “Chess” kid from Texas. This past week has been the most positive baseball experience ever. I thoroughly enjoyed working for all of the coaches. I feel each one was truly invested in me and my progression. Their honest criticism and praise was perfect. My biggest take away was when Coach Moreno told me to get out of my own head and just play. It seems so simple, but it was exactly what I needed to hear. Your speech on night one, really help put me at ease for the rest of the camp. Naturally, I was nervous, but after you and Coach Esquer spoke I was ready to learn and no longer felt like I had to prove myself. Everything at this camp was done well. Better than all of the other camps I have attended. Wherever I end up in the future, your Session #3 camp made an imprint on that path.
Thank you for another great three days of baseball. My son, Joshua, attended the camp last year, enjoyed it, and loved it even more this year. This experience is amazing… from what they learn from the coaches, competing with some of the best high school players, and of course playing at Stanford. It’s such a unique experience for the players and we are so glad we were able to attend.
I wanted to thank you for putting together this camp. The experience that the camp provided was 2nd to none. Whether or not my son plays baseball past high school was not the focus for us, it was more that this camp gave him something to focus on gave him extra motivation to do well in school and again to focus on his academics.
My name is Simon and I attended week one of the All Star Camp. I just wanted to say thank you for the amazing week I had last week at Stanford during the camp. Never would I have imagined that there would be so many coaches at one facility willing to work with me to get me better as a player. The amount of help I received from all of the coaches and staff was so beneficial to me and I learned a numerous amount of things to help me with my game. Also the talks that Coach Esquer gave before each practice taught me so much of the little things that can help me on and off the field. The things as simple as the mindsets we should have on the field or even as we conquer something we set out to do are things that I am going to keep with me moving forward.
I wanted to reach out and give a thank you for the Stanford All Star Baseball Camp. My son Caden really enjoyed the camp and games and came away each day with nothing but great things to say. From the moment orientation started I knew the next 3 days were going to be just as you advertised, a great 3 day baseball experience. Your talk Wednesday night had everyone laughing and our full attention. Coach Esquer’s talks every morning were a great way to start the day and all the coaches Caden interacted with were very positive even when giving constructive feedback. Thanks again for putting on a great camp and we will definitely be back next summer!
I would like to take a moment and thank you for an excellent experience for my son. I saw benefit in everything the camp did, and it was nice to see him meshing with his teammates and coach as camp progressed.
I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for everything. These past three days were by far the best 3 days of baseball in my life. The camp was flat out amazing, and I made countless relationships in such a short amount of time.
Thanks again for putting on the very best baseball camp experience in the country. When your last name is on the bat, it’s like the game is calling out to you. Not sure if our shared Marucci surname had any actual bearing on my son’s love for baseball, but it probably didn’t hurt. Nevertheless, your camp did nothing but add more fuel to his passion! He came away very focused and inspired. Since returning, he has ramped up his training plan, implementing much of the new info he picked up from the coaches and trainers at Stanford. Your camp exceeded our expectations. The daily pace and organization was very impressive. The challenging physical instruction was equaled by the insightful mental and motivational talks. Thanks for this unique and inspiring baseball experience!
Coach Stotz – it is YOU that we ALL should be thanking! What an experience (the camp’s expression, personified!) for the kids…and parents! Nothing short of first-class operation! And a hearty thank you to all the Stanford and visiting coaches as well! From the organization, to the communication, to the schedule, to the drills, to the games….all smooth as silk. You all should consider making this a yearly event….oh, wait…
I wanted to reach out to say thank you for hosting such an amazing baseball camp. I had an awesome time playing, and I learned a ton about baseball. My father and I attended the three Stanford Super Regional games against Texas. After seeing and feeling the excitement of those games, it was an incredible experience to play on that same field. I also thought the coaches were exceptional. I especially loved hearing Coach Esquer’s advice and learning that it’s the same advice he gives to his Stanford players. I look forward to using Coach Esquer’s advice on how to maximize my impact as a great teammate this year. Thank you again so much!
I wanted to tell you thank you for such an amazing camp. My son Joshua has been to a few college camps and this one by far has been his favorite. He said this camp had the most interaction with college coaches and was very organized. My wife and I really enjoyed your campus and the constant work the ballplayers had during the practice/training.
